Lawmaker seek basic amenities in public schools

A member of the house of representative, Olajide Oseni has arged the lagos state government to provide basic amenities for schools.

He spoke yesterday at the 14th annual inter-house sport of olokun primary school,ilasamaja, lagos.

Oseni said the government was expected to provide amenities to enable pupils to study in a conducive environment

He added: ‘but I have discovered that several public primary school in lagos lack basic amenities, some public school in Oshodi, isolo lack amenities such as good toilet, stationary, chair and desk”.

Dr Ulomo Ojei, the president for humanity development initiative (HDI) a non-governmental organization (NGO) said they were In the school to add colour to the inter-house sport.

“Olokun primary school is one of the grass roots school, we are here to give a taste of what their counterpart in Montessori schools enjoy” she said.
