A place where they erected TWELVE memorial stones ( Significance of twelve; DIVINE AUTHORITY), circumcised the males ( Significance: COVENANT PRACTICE ) and kept the passover ( Significance: SACRIFICE/THE ALTAR PLACE).
A Place where Joshua meet the captain of the Lord’s Host! ( Significance: ANGELIC ENCOUNTER). A place where Israel encamped while taking the city of Jericho ( Significance: A TAKEOVER POINT)…a place where they made a treaty with the Gibonites ( Significance: A PLACE OF SETTLEMENT)…. and a place where they launched the campaign against the five Amorite Kings ( Significance: A PLACE FOR SPIRITUAL WARFARE).
GILGAL remained a rallying point for Israel for many generations!
